Find the No.4 bus stop in front of JR Asahikawa Station, and take the free bus
"Ideyu-go" bound for Tenninkyo/Asahidake
onsen (1 hr 35 min.). Get off at the "Camp-jo-mae"
stop. |

This YH is a log cabin and was rebuild in December, 2000. It is on
the side of Mt. Asahidake, which is the highest mountain in Hikkaido.
There is an approach to Mt. Asahidake nearby, and
you can choose a course to climb depending on your holidays and
equipment. It is recommended to come in July and
August when alpine flowers are in full bloom as
well as in September when leaves begin changing
color.
Downhill skiing in this area
is quite popular. Cross Country is also avaiable in front of the YH.
